In addition to the numerous nursing services that The Lions Center provides for our residents, trained therapists from Foundation Rehabilitation also provide rehabilitation services. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Restorative Therapy programs are available to residents seven days a week, and are individualized to meet each resident’s needs.
Trained activity staff provides residents with a full range of daily Social activities, as well as special seasonal and annual events. Outings are organized to take residents to Community events, including shopping at the Country Club Mall and dining in local restaurants. The Resident Council Group gives residents a chance to plan and choose their own activities. The Lions Center van is also available to transport residents to physician appointments in the community.
Our supervised Volunteer program offers the residents companionship as the volunteers assist with socials, entertainment and religious services. We even have a Hair Salon on site to take care of hair care and grooming needs.
Finally, our Social Service staff assists residents with adjustment to nursing home placement ensuring that their psychosocial needs are met. Staff also works closely with family members, assisting them with financial arrangements, and keeping them involved in Care Plan decisions and discharge planning. Family Council meetings are scheduled to address concerns and keep families informed of changes at the nursing home.
